| 11:48 pm | ( Private ) ( Narcissa ) I have to say, I'm a bit relieved by the routing of the mails. It's nice to know that my toddler won't have her face blown off by an errant owl-bomb, at least. I'm quite fond of her face, even if it does have a tendency to change from moment to moment with her whims. (My favourite- yesterday, she developed whiskers for nearly half an hour. And I do not mean the sort a cat wears. I think she was inspired by a dapper old gentleman we saw on our walk.) |

| 3:08 pm | I asked Dora to draw something for Valentine's Day. This is what I got.  While I remain unconvinced that she grasps the concept, I think it's got a lot of potential. |

| 7:15 pm | Dora appears to have a cold. I can tell precisely how miserable she's feeling by the fact that her hair is not bubblegum pink, not yellow as the sun, but brown. Mouse brown. I do think she's a little drama-queen in the making. I've taken the day off to look after her and now that she's asleep, I'm mad with boredom. Adult conversation, I beg you! |

| 5:02 pm | --1; ice cream and tantrums Note to self: Taking Dora to Fortesque's is never a good idea. Especially when it's winter and you therefore can't leave the shop with your ices, but are forced to sit in a booth with your daughter giving herself an elephant's trunk and making the other children cry. I suppose I could have chucked the ice creams and left, but that would have meant a temper tantrum, and I can deal with other people's infants crying in fright more easily than I can deal with my own flailing in anger. |
